The Story Behind Rock Solid Families

Rock Solid Families is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening individuals, couples, and families through faith-based coaching and support. Founded in 2018 and headquartered in West Harrison, IN, we serve clients locally and across the nation through both in-person and virtual sessions. Our coaching team offers both practical tools and biblical guidance to our clients, to help build resilience, restore relationships, and thrive.

Our Story

The Story Behind Rock Solid Families

Rock Solid Families began when founders Merrill and Linda Hutchinson sensed God calling them to step away from their careers and serve families full-time. Unsure how such a ministry could be funded, they prayed—never imagining that years later someone would ask, “If you could do anything in ministry, what would it be?”

Through the generosity and prayers of that family and hundreds of other partners, Rock Solid Families launched in January 2018 and opened its first office that fall. Merrill and Linda left their church and school positions to follow God’s leading, believing that strong homes are the foundation of healthy schools, churches, and communities. Their mission: to educate, equip, and empower families to become all God created them to be.

Today, Rock Solid Families continues that mission by offering biblically rooted guidance and practical skills to individuals, couples, and families across the country. Our coaches don’t claim to have all the answers—but we trust in a mighty God who does. We exist to see families strengthened through the rock of Jesus Christ, grounded in the truth of His Word, and walking confidently in their God-given identity and purpose.
